This is something brilliant I found on Wieden + Kennedy's website. It's a map of the world made out the relevant stamps from each country and they've got it in their STAIR WELL!I don't want to lick their arse too much but W+K are great-big-American streets ahead of any other London ad agency at the moment. Always creating simple, effective work that most of the time has F all to do with traditional advertising.
Dog bless them for giving the rest of us hope.

Fake American Apparel?
Okay, so these have been around for a while now and if you live in NYC you may even have been fortunate enough to see them. But if not... basically they're fake American Apparel poster that have been slapped all over the city by some rogue wheat paster. As yet I don't think anyone knows who's doing it. Apparently not the work of slightly sleazy founder Dov Charney because that would, I suppose, just make him sleazy but then he does have this to say to L.A...
... A big fuck you statue outside his front door point directly at downtown L.A. ...Nice.Anyway, back to the gratuitous use of vag in posters... Aren't they nice ads? They make me want to dash out and get togged up in a bit of ethical kit right now.
Job done Dov... Now you can own up...

The fact that everybody who has a phone now has a camera has made these images possible.
Because, they were taken while sitting on the crapper. And the interesting thing about them isn’t the subject, but the fact that I’ve taken them with my pants down. How many photographs are taken like that? Surely the fact that these images, although seemingly dull, have a story, makes them art?
Pants down these are the best photos I’ve ever taken.
Next time you visit the Armitage Shanks why not join me and see how liberating it is to take photos with your knackers out, dangling in the porcelain. Odds are when you’re framing your shot you won’t be squeezing one out but why not? If you can manage it, it might add a whole new level to it… At least in your head. The viewer of the picture will be none the wiser…. But you’ll know.

In the real world without the use of digital tools the technique is called tilt-shift. But that seems far to difficult in this day and age.
It's a good way of turning photo's you thought were crap, with no real subject, into quite interesting pictures.

CHRISTIAN HOSOI
I Found this pencil sketch of Christian Hosoi the old skool skateboard dude from America…he had it all, rock star life style, Fame, girls, constant party boy, money and he was fucking good at skateboarding.Then at the age of 32, he got caught with a large amount of crystal meth coming into Honolulu airport and was sent down for 5 years in prison. He apparently found god in there and is now free, out on the streets, preaching to all who will listen. I used to like his Japan airs, so stylish.

After removing a board from a wall in my office I came across this piece done by Mode 2.
It was done for the opening party of the ad agency, along with another whole wall which has subsequently been removed.
Do you think I should get the hammer and shanizzle out and start chipping away? Get it on ebay or Pictures on Walls?
